THE GARLIC SHOPPE STORY

The Garlic Shoppe is the original in the world. It was started in 1985 by Jon and Z Rapazzini in the same location as we are today. The red barn with the white mission facade right by the 25 overpass is at the corner of Highways 101 & 25, 2 miles south of Gilroy California 95020 at 4310 Monterey Highway. Mama Raps, Garlic Dude, Psycho, Sandrinos and Rapazzini are our own brands made under the direction of Chef Owner Alex Larson and Charlie Larson. Alex is a 1982 graduate of the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco California . RAPAZZINI WINERY History 2009 Winter Hours 9am-5pm

Rapazzini Winery http://www.RapazziniWinery.com is located at 4350 Monterey Highway adjacent to The Garlic Shoppe. Alex and Charlie Larson have worked here since 1994 and purchased the business and real estate in 2000 from Jon Rapazzini. Jon and his brother started the winery and tasting room helping to create the popularity of California wines and wine tasting in 1962. We continue to make affordable delicious wine in very small lots. We try to offer our wines with a year or two extra bottle age at the same price as most wineries offer the most recent vintage. We think Rapazzini wines taste better for the money. Step through the giant doors made out of a single barrel to enter a fun place to taste, laugh, learn and talk wine. Our tasting room is a beautiful 2 story open beamed room with natural wood walls and ceilings. Behind a 40 foot long pounded copper bar you will find Chef Owner Alex or Adam with his trusty sidekick "Butters" his Airdale dog.Our tasting is FREE! You read that right, we still are offering FREE TASTING in this day and age. We have most of our wines open every day for your wine tasting with your friends, neighbors and business associates. Oh don't forget your boyfriend or girlfriend would love to spend a few hours with just you, a glass of wine and some fun.

ADAGIO Wedding and Event Story

ADAGIO http://www.ADAGIOweddings.com is the perfect place for a private vent or wedding. It is a 1927 Spanish Colonial mansion nestled at the base of the Gavilan Mountains on 44 acres. A 1/2 mile mature tree lined drive leads to the motorcourt as you pass the 15 foot tall Fountain of the Cherubs. Surrounding the 2 story 6400 square foot mansion are 3 ancient oaks, soaring redwoods, flowers and small trees with white blooms and over 1 acre of lawn. Imagine a garden party here. All the rooms on the first floor have 8 foot tall glass doors that run the length of the room.Inside a large entry area and loggia is perfect for greeting your guests before they grab a glass of Rapazzini wine or champagne in the wine bar room to the right. Over 1000 bottles of wine are on display in the cherrywood wine rack behind the granite marble topped counter with Spanish tile baseboard. To the right is the Grand Staircase with hand painted Spanish tiles on the stair tread faces. A nice spot for group photos. Then the Fireplace room with windows looking to the north on each side of the fireplace and all glass doors that face the east await you. Heavy plastered original style walls, dark wooden heavy plank floors and clever flowing like vines sconces and hanging lighting set the mood. You can see the lawn , the flowers, white roses , the huge trees and the farmland in the distance. Connected to this room by a large open wall is the cube room. This room is the same in design but is almost a cube in height, width and length and looks out to its own terrace to the west with white flowers, the tree lined motor court and then the view of the Gavilan mountains. On this floor are two baths, one of which is fully handicapped accessible with a chandelier, terra cotta tile floors, drapes, and automatic faucets and fixtures. In the evening, ADAGIO glows with the light flowing from all the windows, the face of the building is lit from directly above and the large trees glow with the light twinkling through the branches and leaves.
